One part of my creative process is to take photos when I’m walking around outdoors. Every once in awhile I will stumble upon a really cool looking bug, like this crane fly. A lot of people think this is a photo of mosquito, but a crane fly is much larger, and the wings are similar to a dragonfly’s.

This piece was painted with acryla-gouache on a 3/4″ thick cradled panel. This panel is ready-to-hang with the sides painted, and a wire installed. No need for a frame, unless you want to add one. Finally, the painting was finished with a UV-protectant varnish.
