A few years ago I was trying to think of an animal to paint. It happened to be the year of the ox, so used that as a jumping off point. Since then I have been really busy and haven’t tried intentionally painting other animals in the Chinese zodiac.

This piece was painted with acryla-gouache on a 3/8″ thick panel. This panel is ready-to-hang with the sides painted, and a rear routed slot. No need for a frame, unless you want to add one. Finally, the painting was finished with a UV-protectant varnish.
