One of the best places to hike in my area is the Springweather Trails, located in Springfield and Weathersfield, Vermont. I have played hooky from work many times to hangout here.  At least once each season I try to visit, to observe the changing plant life, birdwatch, and hunt for skeletal remains of various animals. The Old Perkinsville Power Dam is tucked away and is a great place to go for a refreshing swim, with a great view. Lots of people wade under the waterfall, but I prefer swimming above the dam, where the water is deeper usually.

This piece was painted with acryla-gouache on a 3/4″ thick cradled panel. This panel is ready-to-hang with the sides painted, and a wire installed. No need for a frame, unless you want to add one. Finally, the painting was finished with a UV-protectant varnish.
