A few days ago someone posted my last year review and Facebook and that made me realize I never wrote one for this year. Looking back I did accomplish some of the goals and other not so much and that’s ok. I still feel like I’m making some momentum!
In 2018 I:
*Attended Vermont Artists Week at The Vermont Studio Center
*Invited to participate in a group show at Castleton University’s Bank Gallery in Rutland, VT
*Invited to hang a solo show at Fitting Room Gallery in Portland, OR (and travelled there)
*Painted 12 Lady of the Month portraits and have am ahead a few months (even though I will probably still post them late).
*Sold some paintings
*I did not travel to Peru or NM or get out of debt but am always chipping away at it.
Goals for 2019 include:
*Complete 80 paintings – 12 Lady of the Month Portraits, 4 large abstract paintings, 12 medium abstract paintings, 24 small abstract paintings and 28 various ready to sell animal/landscape/places paintings.
*Send out weekly emails sharing when new paintings are available for purchase.
*Pay off my car and at least one more credit card.
2019 is already off to a good start with a big sale and participation in a solo show right off the bat. I am also working with another educational institution for another solo show potentially for this year. I might try applying for some juried shows, but it’s not a huge priority until I have more paintings available.
