The holiday season is always a popular time for custom portraits or landscapes. They make excellent gifts for people of all ages, who love bright colors. Pet portraits are always super fun and I have also created family portraits, paintings of buildings, and beloved objects.
Last call for commissions is set for November 19th. Now that I am in the studio full time I can usually complete a custom portrait within two weeks. I spend a week drawing and painting, and another week for touch ups, varnish, and packaging. After that date I will see what panels I have in stock and offer those to locals only.
Each commissioned painting is created on a hardboard panel. Smaller sizes come with a keyhole on the back for hanging. Panels 8×10 and larger are cradled on a 3/4″ frame, which can either be wired, or use two nails spaced a few inches apart to rest the frame on.
