Spring Vermont Open Studio

  • by

It’s that time of the year again for the Vermont Craft Council’s Vermont Open Studio. Twice a year they set up maps with loops that direct visitors to various studios throughout the state. The loops offer efficient routes so people can take in as many art studios and galleries as possible throughout the weekend. This year I am in loop 9 along with 12 other artists located in Bellows Falls and Townshend, Vermont. Loops 8 (Brattleboro, Putney, Newfane, Dummerston) and 10 (Springfield and Ludlow) are close by as well, so would make a great combination for a full weekend of art viewing. Or start in the south and work your way up to Montpelier, Burlington or the Northeast Kingdom with lots of stops along the way.

During Open Studios I’ll be open both Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Visitors will be able to view completed paintings, get a sneak peek of what I’m working on, and shop for original art, prints, greeting cards and stickers. I’ll also be debuting a pair of chairs that were upholstered with fabric that I designed. I cater to a wide range of budgets so will have something for everyone. Plus Bellows Falls is a nice little hub with a variety of other artists and galleries, coffee shops, book stores, and antiques. Or swing by the art supply store if you feel inspired by all the art you take in.

For a map you can visit the Vermont Craft Councils website. Ornaglyphology is located at 7 Canal St. Bellows Falls, VT 05101.
